Created at the end of my Breathing series and at the beginning of a virus lockdown when I was feeling in a dark mood like many. Wanting to express this, I steered away from the main blue colours which normally brought me joy. I see this painting two ways. One: the “virus” laying in wait and hopefully will not surface or, two, I’m in hiding hopeful that it will not find me or anyone else. As depressing as this is work is in meaning, I enjoyed the colour palette. This artwork sparked my Divisions Collection.
